The pokemon franchise have been a great hit internationally with sales figure of about $24 billion worth of worldwide sales. About 130 million copies of core RPG titles sold world wide, and an additional 60 million units from spin-off entries, there is a great demand for pokemon merchandise. To carter for the fans in Japan for Pokemon goods, a total of 7 "Pokemon Centers" have been set up in different locations (Sapporo, Tohoku(Sendai), Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka).
