Gyakuten Saiban 逆転裁判 Review (Phoenix Wright Live Action)

For those of you who played the Nintendo DS attorney "Phoenix Wright Series", you will be pleased to know that there is an actual live film based off the actual game itself. Firstly, this film is made completely for the fans of the Phoenix Wright Game series. If you are familiar with the series, this movie will provide an entertaining experience for you.

For those of you who are unaware of the Ace Attorney game series. The series of adventure video games published by Capcom follow the story of a defense attorney in a fictional courtroom setting. Players have to use their wits and evidences acquired throughout the game to find their client "not guilty" to prove their case.

The video game cast of the game is well depicted throughout the live action movie, even the little personal eccentricities in the video game counterpart is displayed as well.

Phoenix Wright presenting a piece of evidence in the court, the way that he would do in the game itself.
Hiroki Narimiya did an excellent job in portraying phoenix wright, with his slicked back hairstyle and the intense gesture. Even Miles Edgeworth, the opposing prosecutor was well depicted, his calculated stares and pompous attitude simply feels right in the movie. The movie remain faithful to the game for most parts, portraying out the courtroom drama and the exaggerated nature of the video game characters itself.
